Property management can be used by any type of property owner that just doesn’t have the time to full care and run the property that is owned. To be simple you could say that a property management is the overseeing of other people’s properties by a company that has a trained staff. It’s much more than that in reality though. It is the complete care being delivered by a company that specializes in handling properties that people themselves can’t take care of or run. A property management company is the only type of business that makes money by running someone else property. They don’t technically have to run the property unless hired to do so, but they have the responsibility of taking care of it. In the case of a rental property, a management company would handle the upkeep, scheduling, and advertising in order to keep the place rented as much as possible out of the year. Upkeep would include maintaining the place inside and out, seeking repairs for anything broken, and to completely have it cleaned between different people staying there. Scheduling revolves around making sure the place is booked properly as much of the year as possible without people overlapping each other. Advertising is self-explanatory and revolves around listing the property for rent properly.
